General FAQ's

Payment can be made on delivery or payment over the phone when booking.

To ensure safe collection, please make sure skips are loaded evenly and kept level. If a skip is overloaded or unsafe to transport, our driver may be unable to collect it.

Our standard skip hire period is 7 days. If you think you’ll need the skip for longer, please let us know at the time of booking. After the 7-day hire period, we will arrange collection. If you’re not quite finished, please contact us within 48 hours — subject to availability and prior bookings, we may be able to extend your hire period at no extra cost.

Our skips are suitable for a wide range of waste, including:

– General household or construction waste
– Wood and furniture
– Green waste
– Metal
– Hardcore
– Cardboard and paper

We offer reduced prices for skips containing hardcore or clean wood/green waste — please let us know at the time of booking so we can apply the correct rate.

Please note that the following items are subject to an additional charge: mattresses, tyres, plasterboard, sofas, and armchairs.

For safety and environmental reasons, the following items must not be placed in our skips:

– Asbestos in any form
– Batteries
– Fridges or fridge freezers
– Fluorescent tubes
-Tyres
– Gas bottles
– Liquids of any kind, including paint, varnish, solvents, thinners, oils, fuels, diesel, petrol, chemicals, pesticides, and weed killer
– Cleaning chemicals such as bleach, acids, and ammonia

If you’re unsure whether an item can go in a skip, please contact us before loading.

Please ensure there is sufficient space on your property for the skip to be placed in your preferred location. Unfortunately, we are unable to place skips on public roads; however, we do offer a wait and load service, which can be arranged by contacting us directly.

Once the skip has been delivered, please do not move it. Our drivers are trained to position skips correctly to allow for safe collection. If a skip has been moved and cannot be safely collected, an additional charge may apply for a wasted journey.

While we take every care during delivery and collection, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused by our vehicles while accessing or operating on private property. This includes damage resulting from restricted access, weak ground conditions, or unsuitable driveways.

A permit is not required if the skip is placed on private land, such as your driveway or garden.

If the skip needs to be placed on public land, including a public road, a permit would normally be required. However, we offer a wait and load service for these situations, meaning you won’t need to arrange a permit.
